Marzhan Nurzhan

Marzhan Nurzhan is the Coordinator for Parliamentarians for Nuclear Non-Proliferation and Disarmament for CIS Countries, and the Outreach/ Education Coordinator for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Youth Group. She is also Coordinator of the Youth Network of Abolition 2000, the global civil society network to eliminate nuclear weapons.  Marzhan was chosen by the President of the UN General Assembly as the youth speaker for the 2017 United Nations High Level Meeting on Nuclear Disarmament and was the initiator and leader of the international youth delegation to the high level conference at the United Nations in New York. She was named a NODA-OSCE Scholar for Peace and Security in 2019.
